The Donnie Darko Trip was really fun, and it's a shame I didn't write about it. We took that entire collective, Mark and Melissa and Shailee and Dan, Avi, Leon, everyone, down into Dupont Circle, one of D.C.'s more happening (and gay) neighborhoods. It was a production, of course, but a good one. When we couldn't find the theater, the twelve or so of us asked a middle-aged gay couple if they could point us in the right direction. They were walking the same way as it was, so went with us a little while, joking and laughing about the posse they had picked up. The theater was a little bistro, with two small theaters in the back. On saturday nights they raise the price on the movie tickets and put a keg in the theaters (all you can drink until the keg is tapped).

The show was fun, although we were a few minutes late, but it's those kinds of weird excursions into the city that I love. It was also good too, because Mary brought her friend Sarah and they bonded about the weirdness of the city compared to Johnnieland...
