Monday, March 28, 2005 - Whoo! Spring Break! Is Over.
Whoo! Spring Break! Is Over. Went camping with Mel and Rel, Leon, Avi, and Avi's friends. Rockn' good time; I see why they camp every break. We went to a little cabin in Fredericksburg, and walked down to the banks of the Rappahannock River for a good smoke and lay on the dead trees in the sun. Went down to Georigah to visit Mikey! Saw Savannah, with the moss and the craggily trees and the art students and the tourists drinking booze in public (which is ok as long as it's out of a red plastic cup). I would definitely return, just to do a survey of the trees with my camera, oaks and palms (and acacias, I'm not sure?) everywhere you went. A perfect little island down the coast from the big American cities. Odd place for an art school, until you realize the artists just want to get away. SCAD was very similar to St. Johns, in that respect. Intense, focused on the subject, weird people. :) We left a little early, but not because we were bored at all. We were just tired. Which is where I am now. About to start back up for classes, and still exhausted. Wish I had pictures (I brought my camera, but couldn't get to it for either trip). I'll have something up soon. I have to do something picture wothy, though, and that's the catch. After driving down to GA, and driving up to MA, I feel like I have a pretty good idea of the East Coast. Or at least, the East Coast's highways. I can picture where Maryland is, anyway. Maybe it's time for a change of scenery, though...
