Last weekend was Madison's 2nd Annual World Music Fest, and Mary and I went down to see Lila Downs on the terrace. She was alto, tennor and bass, but none of them sounded like most anything you've heard before. I have heard one song of hers (that I've played incessantly all through Argentina) on NPR's World Collection that Mary got me for my birthday, but the added depth to which she can sing was still amazing. My favorite was her own trippy jimmy-hendrix version of La Cucaracha, (the cockroach can't walk / because he doesn't have any marijuana to smoke).

I also started a new job here; teaching highschoolers tech stuff. The kids are cool, my co-instructor rocks, and I'm really excited about it. So, you know, Madison goes well.

Yesterday was Nikki's birthday, so I checked her email address on the facebook, and already ten people from home had left her birthday messages when she's not even in the country. Sweet bejeebus. I can't wait till she gets back to Madison... ai.
